LEDs in exterior automotive lighting replacing conventional bulbs in multiple vehicles |

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Philips Lumileds Lighting Company, a provider of light-emitting
diodes (LEDs) for automotive exterior lighting applications, is supplying the power LED technology behind exterior
lighting features on 2006 automobiles. Brightness, lumen maintenance and performance of the company’s
LUXEON LEDs are enabling the first power LED backup, stop-tail, rear fog, mirror side-turn lamps and front turn
signal lights, according to the company.
